Project Update No. 4 – 4 / 4 /2025 2025 Street Improvements Project Epworth, IA

• Water main installation is complete to the intersection of 1st Avenue SE.  Water has also been installed from East Main Street to 1st Street SE. 
• Black Hills Energy will start installation of new gas main on Monday 4/7.
• We anticipate starting to connect water services to the new in the 100 block of 1st Street SE on Monday or Tuesday.  There will be brief interruptions to the individual services when the new connections and service line are being run.
• The old 4” water main will be disconnected after the new services are made.  This will tentatively be Wednesday or Thursday.  During the main disconnection 1st Avenue SW will be closed to traffic and Center Avenue will be 1 lane traffic only.
• Sanitary sewer main installation will resume after the old water main is taken out of service. 
• If any property owner along 1st Street SE has a recent sewer service televising video/report that shows their service is PVC please share this information with City Hall.
